A truly NOS tube will have excellent getter flashing condition, no dirt/grime, usually in the original box, and no filament deposits and has never been tested.

Since vacuum tubes were made 30 – 70 years ago New Old Stock or Used may have cosmetic evidence of age.  This includes poor print, oxidized pins, faint discoloration, or poorly boxes
All tubes will be tested before shipping.

1. Complete visual inspection
2. Allow 1 minute warm up time
3. Test for actual real-life mutual conductance (life) of the tube (including any shorts,gas and leakage)
4. Test for proper gain of the tube (perhaps the single most important test of a preamp tube
5. Test for noise -both in static and dynamic situations
6. Repeat all tests for
accuracy on other tester
