1955-56 ~ MUFFIE DOLL~ RED TAFFETA DRESS / OUTFIT ~ VGC ~ NANCY ANN

Description

Up for your consideration is a beautiful little dress for Muffie. It came in her "Special Display Box" with more clothes and a doll. This box is shown on page 211 in the book "The Muffle Puzzle - New Pieces" by Lillian Roth and Heather Maciak and you can clearly see the dress. I have added panties, socks and shoes to make a complete outfit. Please look at all the photos and use the enlarger as the photos are part of my description. If you have any questions, please ask them before you bid.
The red taffeta dress has a white band across the front of the waist that has a red embroidered design. White lace trims the sleeves and Muffie's signature half slip is sewn on the inside. It closes with a big red painted donut snap. This dress is in very good condition with no holes, tears or stains. The taffeta is clean and bright and the snap is secure. It is a wonderful dress.
The white organdy panties are original Muffie panties with the up-side down heart lace trim. They are in very nice condition except the waist elastic is replaced and brand new.
The white stretch socks are brand new replacement socks. I like these socks because you can scrunch them down for that 1950's look.
The red side-button Mary Jane shoes have plain heels. They are in good condition with knobs and straps intact.
This is a nice little outfit for Muffie. I call this dress the "Chicken Scratch" dress because the embroidery on the waist reminds me of chicken feet tracks. If you don't have this in your collection, here is your chance to get a really nice one. Your Muffie will love it!!
