Circa 1859 Antique NEW YORK STATE Democratic Party Political Ephemera tract titled; "The Bankrupt Condition of the State. Shall Money be Borrowed to Pay Interest? The Issue Between Democratic State Officers and the Republican Legislature! LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE!".  Printed propaganada on 8 pages regarding NY's canal debt and taxation.  A brief excerpt reads, "The issue is thus distinctly made, and the question to be decided at the polls, is--Shall the Democratic State Officers be sustained in the position they have taken? Have they done right in arresting the career of debt and taxation?".  Approximate page size when closed is 6-1/4" x 9-3/4".  uncut and folds out to single sheet as seen in scans.  Condition: light soiling, occasional edge wear and tiny edge tears.  Please see photos for additional condition review.  Questions welcome!
