Vtg. Political Campaign Poster Carroll Hubbard for KY Governor 1979 Demo 14X22

Description

For sale is a vintage political campaign poster, or broadside, which supported Carroll Hubbard, the unsuccessful Democratic candidate for Governor of Kentucky in 1979. This cardboard poster was actually tacked to a long wooden pole and carried during a campaign stop in western Kentucky (see photos). It measures 14 by 22 1/4 inches and is quite scarce. It is in good to very good condition, with two tack holes at top and bottom, staple holes along the left and right borders and minor creasing. Hubbard was a controversial figure who spent two decades in the House of Representatives and two years in prison.
